Cape Fear Literacy Council

A few years ago, Cape Fear Literacy Council was behind the 8-ball in terms of our computers. Most staff had a desktop computer, some were current, and many were not. The computer lab computers were so ancient they could barely handle the instructional software we needed.

With Hooks’ help, expertise and diligence, we have evolved to a whole new level. Staff and instructional computer lab computers are networked. We have a server. Our system is backed up daily. We know which computers need to be replaced, which are doing their job, and what we need to plan for. Whenever we have an IT or systems question or problem, we just call Hooks and they take care of it.

For our little nonprofit, the benefits of our partnership with Hooks are easy to summarize: a partner that always goes the extra mile to keep us up and going, and efficient; the right hardware and software for the work we need to do; complete peace of mind about anything related to computers. For us, Jim Booth is the guardian angel of our IT – and we are grateful!
